JOB TITLE: IT MANAGER

SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at the company. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Analyze complex business needs presented by customer demands and internal customers and recommends technical solutions
2. Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions
3. Direct operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations
4. Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status
5. Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable
6. Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts
7. Represents the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1. Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies, proven ability to lead a progressive IT group, communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff, demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies, broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies.
2. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field from a reputable university.
3. Minimum three years experience in leadership role in Information Technology department of a technology based company.
